This internship train young women and men to acquire knowledge and skills in agroecology and agroforestry. Participants start with a one-month internship at Sacha Warmi center, where they will learn and practice subjects such as: the workings of tropical ecosystems, tropical gardening, medicinal plants cultivation and herbal medicine making, care taking of agroforestry plots, native fish farming. The learning process and practices are based on the cultural knowledge of the participants and supported with other knowledge systems and traditions. They will also receive some training on plant reproduction from a local greenhouse operation, close to Sacha Warmi center.
